From July 1st, a new Crui-Care contract with Springer will be active.
This so-called Read&Publish contract allows SISSA authors to publish open access articles in subscription journals that offer the hybrid open access option (Open Choice) and the Creative Commons Attribution license (CC-BY). SISSA, as a Care-Crui partner, will cover the article processing charges. Springer publishes nearly 600 fully open access journals, 2,000+ hybrid journals, and 900+ open access books.
Springer allows OA publication for the following Journals
All manuscripts by SISSA CORRESPONDING AUTHORS, ACCEPTED from July 1st in Springer hybrid journals, will be eligible for free OA publication.
Once an article has been accepted for publication, the corresponding author will receive a link to the ‘MyPublication’ form and will be asked if he/she wants to publish OA. To ensure rapid publication of the article, it is important to complete the MyPublication form as soon as possible. Once the Corresponding Author has completed the form, his/her institution will confirm the article’s eligibility in parallel with the typesetting process.
Obviously, the Corresponding Author is not obliged to publish Open Access, but we strongly advise you to take advantage of this opportunity.
Please be aware that:
- only the Corresponding Author will have this opportunity (in this transition period, if the Corresponding Author of the paper is not a SISSA researcher, a Corresponding Author may be added);
- validation by the institutions means only that the Institution that the author indicates as his/her affiliation, will be asked to confirm the affiliation;
- original papers and review papers are eligible, brief comunications and articles in books are not included;
- colour pages and reprints are not included.
